Above is a
"not-to-scale" map of the venue. We'll meet at the C$ sign. It'll be great to see you again or meet you!
Unofficial Chateau Ste. Michelle Concert
Info
Parking
There is
limited concert parking at the venue and to get it you need to arrive by 3 or 4
pm and make an afternoon touring the facility and tasting wine. The horror! No worries! They do a great job providing shuttle bus
service to business parks nearby to and from the venue and parking and the
shuttle are free. It is also
possible to walk if you are a walker or need some extra time to walk it
off.
Booze
They sell
wine in the venue by the bottle for $10 - $30—or the wine shop has a wider
selection of course and both outlets stay open until "intermission" –
between acts that is (roughly 8pm). Anything but wine you'll need to be clever about
bringing in the gates.
Food
Food
choices are Chicken Kebab, Bombay Grill, BBQ, Coffee of course, burgers (meat
and fish, maybe veggie too), hot dogs, and the one with the longest line
– Ben & Jerrys. There is
also a booth to rent binoculars and low chairs, and an onsite ATM. You can bring in food – I plan to
bring Jamaican treats to share.
General
Admission
I've been
told that the line to get in starts around 2pm and the doors open at 5pm. Low beach chairs are allowed up front;
higher camping type chairs are allowed in back and on the sides.
Dancing – besides seat dancing, the
official dancing area is off to the side of the stage.
Daylight,
weather & miscellaneous info
It gets
dark around 9:15 or so, when it begins to cool off. It's not all areas of the country where the artist begins
playing in daylight and can see the crowd until it gets dark. Don't know if this is a treat for the
artist or not! The Woodinville noise ordinance is pretty strict on weekdays,
which means the show will be done by 10pm. Unless it isn't!
