"I called the Palms back a few minutes ago and spoke with a Food and Beverage person who gave me different information than I got from them last week. Our previous tentative spot, the Mint Lounge, is actually combined with a lot of High Limit gambling. The best place to meet is likely the Island Bar, located just South of the main entrance to the casino, and a short distance from the Pearl. Capacity is about 40 people, but according to the F&B guy 5:00 PM is not a very busy time there. So I am planning on showing up there at about 5:00 with my "Think Fast 08" light brown "Light Bulb" T-shirt. I could say "look for the somewhat overweight aging guy with a mostly gray beard", but for a Steely Dan show that may not be descriptive enough. Also I am about 5'8" with glasses. We are driving up tomorrow morning so I will probably be off of e-mail/internet access for the trip. The Palms phone number is 866-942-7777 but they will not connect you to the bars. You can probably have me or someone paged, however.
