Chuck Rainey/Elliot Randall: They found a way to put together Le Bar Bat from the ashes Tycoon Dog left behind with full intent to burn it down even harder. Their version of "Reelin' in the Years" was outstanding. They played it twice. Everything else was beyond superb....incredible 6 string bass formed hip un-scalable rampart. And the guitar work was a one man clinic in how to infect the crowd with bopping head and grooving pelvis syndrome. Nevermind the incredible percussion and drumming.

The people:
Oleander: Amazing lady. So sweet and fine. Groovy chick with award winning smile and infectious laugh. An absolute sweetheart...sharing pictures, her permasquezee (who was also afflicted with head bopping syndrome), and even offering your faithful narrator goodies from past DanFests (decals and stickers). I was truly honoured to have met this lady...and such the cutie pie too.
